The Eyes of the World

Behold on the palms of Petra's hands, The Eyes of the World.
☪Young and just as impressionable of the world as Petra was growing up - and still is -, the eyes' curiosity have hungered for exploration beyond the peninsula and into unseen territory expanding back to those mundane and none. In her culture, there is a spoken legend about them existing before and being all knowing sentient entities. It has been foretold that they have been passed down but a handful of those randomly chosen to be their host. They remain hard to trace of who was the last in line before passing or to whom would receive them next.
Petra wasn't an exception or a 'Chosen One'. They weren't even present for the first 9 years of her life. However, on her 10th birthday, they appeared in the worst way by boiling the skin on her palms until they were soft enough to pull apart and give the eyes some space to wiggle about. Each one attached to her nerves and crippled her for 5 days. She was sick with nausea, fever; she experienced mild seizures, hallucinations, and heavy mood swings. Tingling and pain riddled her hands, wrists, and arms. The eyes were reconstructing her insides to better suit them as well as to fully establish an internal connection with her, like a bond.
They were like sponges - and still are -, soaking in everything. They kept note of many things, like the history of how the peninsula and its people came to be, how the animals and forest became as they were, and legends of gods and myths, able to have Petra recite them without an utterance. The most striking ability the eyes possessed was being able to visually observe an attack and make its own. Each have shown expansion on said power and have allowed Petra to demonstrate further uses. Both eyes worked well in sync but pertained their own personalities, as stated by Petra.
The right eye is smart, caring, giving, motherly, nurturing, just to name a few. It is the generous eye that can bestow upon others 'blessings' if so rightfully deserved. It is the seeker of truth and can expose someone in their truest forms if their gazes meet if it feels that the other is a threat or other intentions lie beneath it all. It can bring back others to life, cure illnesses, disease, and so much more. The possibilities for its usage are endless but Petra does not condone using it to make her seem like saint.
The left eye is cunning, ruthless, merciless, and suspicious, all that is a complete opposite of the right eye though they have no colors differentiating them from another - a use of identical camouflage. It can banish or bring those into or from another dimension, cause chaos, bring about death, give illness and disease to others, and much more. It perceives the evil in others and will openly derail another from their destined path if it, the right eye, or Petra are even crossed. Impressions matter to it the most.
Combined, they can form into the third eye. Traditionally, both hands are raised and crossed over another before the forehead. They’re flipped and pressed firmly on the forehead before being clenched tightly and lowered to the side. The third eye rips through the flesh and skin, dripping clear liquid as if freshly birthed. This eye gives the power of both eyes into one. It is the easiest point of control that Petra has over every ability they learned and is highly knowledgeable thanks to it. However, it is brief as her body is not conditioned to handle the demanding stress they can put on her body. She is a human, not a god. Trying to handle it for long periods can make her go unconscious and allow the eye to autopilot her. The eye has only appeared on but a few occasions, mainly in times of high crisis or if Petra's threshold is breached.
Often times, the eyes are put to sleep and kept sealed behind a pair of (white) gloves. However, if she doesn't use them or allow them to exert just a bit of power as they observe and analyze their surroundings and other creatures, they will begin to build up magic in her hands, starting with her palms. The black is all of the build-up from not using them for extended periods of time. Such blackness can cause inflammation, tingling and pain in her nerves as they are sent as signals to release the tension in them. Petra does her best to not promote their usage but the two would beg to differ on her behalf.
